Sighing, she moves into the girls locker room, the nearest bathroom. It’s empty, so late after school, all the hopefuls from Cheerios tryouts already showered and changed and on their way home. Moving to one of the sinks, Kate surveys the damage. Ugh. Sticky blue covers her collar and clings through her bangs and the ends of her curls. Not to mention her blouse is completely ruined. Perfect ending to the first day back, she thinks to herself, rolling her eyes at her reflection.
